Terms and Conditions for Ceramics Classes at Tao of Clay 2024:
Enrollment: By enrolling in a ceramics class at Tao of Clay, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined herein.
Payment: Payment for classes is required in full at the time of registration unless otherwise specified. We accept payment online via our acuity scheduling app. Your enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Our refund policy is designed to be clear and fair for all our customers. The details are as follows:
Refunds for Cancellations Made More Than 14 Days Before the Event:
Customers who cancel their booking more than 14 days prior to the event date are eligible for a full refund (100%).
Refunds for Cancellations Made Between 14 and 7 Days Before the Event:
Customers who cancel their booking between 14 and 7 days prior to the event date are eligible for a partial refund of 50%.
Refunds for Cancellations Made Within 7 Days of the Event:
Customers who cancel their booking within 7 days of the event date are not eligible for a refund (0%).
Class Schedule: Tao of Clay reserves the right to modify class schedules, including dates, times, and instructors, if necessary. In such cases, reasonable efforts will be made to notify enrolled students in advance. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel the class if the minimum enrollment requirement is not met.
Attendance: Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes punctually. Missed classes will not be refunded or rescheduled.
Conduct: All students are required to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner towards instructors, staff, fellow students, and studio property. Any disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the class without refund.
Sharing the space: Students should clear their materials from any of the potter's wheels, slab roller, extruder, work tables, and any other communal equipment reasonably soon after their active use has ended so that through doing so, everyone has reasonable use of these features of the Studio.
Diversity and Respect: We embrace diversity. We do not discriminate unlawfully on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, citizenship or disability, or based on any other consideration made unlawful by federal, state, or local laws. We prohibit conduct by our students in violation of this principle.
Materials and Equipment: We will provide tools on loan for students to use during class. Students have the option to purchase these tools before or during the class. All tools must be returned to Tao of Clay at the end of the course, and any missing tools will be replaced at the student's expense.
Liability: Tao of Clay is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by students or their property during the class, whether on the premises or in transit to/from the studio.
Photography and Media: By participating in a class at Tao of Clay, you consent to the use of photographs or videos taken during the class for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website, and marketing materials.
Health and Safety: Students are responsible for ensuring their own health and safety during the class. Please inform instructors in writing at the time of registration of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect your participation.
Guests: Students are not allowed to bring guests into the building nor are they allowed to knowingly share their access or access credentials in any form. Students are not allowed to remove any unfired clay or glaze from Tao of Clay studio.
Age Requirement: Classes at Tao of Clay are open to participants aged 18 and older. Participants under the age of 18 must have the permission of Tao of Clay to attend and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entirety of the course.
Voluntary Participation and Waiver: Participation in Tao of Clay classes is completely voluntary. While we do our best to create a safe and healthy environment for you, engaging in this activity is at your own risk. By participating, you agree to comply with any and all rules and regulations that are or may be prescribed for health and safety. In signing these Terms and Conditions, you are required to release, indemnify and discharge Tao of Clay, along with its employees and volunteers, from any and all liabilities, suits, claims and demand actions or damages (including attorney’s fees and disbursement) arising out your participation in these classes, to the greatest extent permitted by law. This release is binding on your heirs, assigns and agents. Neither Tao of Clay nor its insurance carrier(s) is responsible for damages, compensation or other insurance benefits for any injury or illness that you may incur while voluntarily participating in these classes. Your consent applies to and is binding for every class you attend.
By registering for a ceramics class or membership subscription at Tao of Clay, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
